Silvia Varnetti named new general manager of FAS - Antonio Cesare Ferrara to leave Fiat automobili Srbija on March 1st

(Antonio Cesare Ferrara)
Antonio Cesare Ferrara, the general manager of the Fiat automobili Srbija (FAS) company, is going to leave this position on March 1st. As of next month, the factory in Kragujevac will be managed from Italy by Silvia Vernetti, an influential manager from the Fiat HQ in Turin, the daily Danas reports. The factory will also be managed by competent FAS managers, including Production Director Francesco Chachna and HR Manager Cristiano Frankini.
Ferrara is going back to Italy, where he will continue to hold high positions at Fiat. Let us remind that he came to Kragujevac in H2 2011 from Fiat's factory in Cassino which was one of the most modern and most successful plants at the time. Ferrara, who replaced Giovani de Philippis at FAS, came to Serbia to have the Kragujevac plant finished and launch the production of Fiat's new model, and he succeeded in both.
