Priority in development of Belgrade in 2007 - construction of Inner main ring road

On the occasion of the presentation of the plan for year 2007, the Mayor of Belgrade, Nenad Bogdanović, pointed out that the priority of local self-management in 2007 would continuation of development of the traffic infrastructure.

Thus, the construction of the access junctions for the new bridge across the Sava, in the scope of the Inner main ring road (IMRR), will commence soon.

- First, the part of semi-ring road will be built, from Tošin bunar Street to Bulevar Umetnosti Street. Then the works will be carried out near viaduct "Senjak" with temporary connections to Radnička Street, crossroads "Hipodrom" on the position of Careva ćuprija Bridge with Požeška Street, connection with Teodora Drajzera Street and reconstruction of Paštrovićeva Street – Bogdanović announced.

He added that the selection of the main contractor and architect for construction of the Novi Beograd – Čukarica bridge would take place in 2007, whereas the commencement of works was expected in 2008.
