Assessment of environmental impact of South Stream project successfully completed

Serbia has successfully completed the process of assessing the environmental impact of the South Stream gas pipeline project, it was announced at Sunday's working meeting between Dusan Bajatovic, the general manager of the Srbijagas public company, and Alexei Miller, the chairman of the Gazprom Managing Board.
It was also underlined at the meeting in Sochi that spatial planning procedures in line with the national legislation were about to be finished.
Participants in that meeting also discussed other issues related to cooperation in the oil and gas sector. They talked about the supply of Russian gas, underground gas storages, joint implementation of infrastructure projects, and cooperation in the electrical power industry, Srbijagas announced in a release.
