Belgian investors to buy A bank

The stockholders of A Bank and KBC group, the third largest financial conglomerate in Belgium, have reached the agreement concerning takeover of 70% - 100% of ownership in this domestic bank.

This agreement should be confirmed by NBS. KBC plans to complete transaction in the first quarter of year 2007.

The major stockholders of A Bank are "Amasis" from Belgrade with 24% of stocks, "EMG Holdings" from Limasol with 18.7% and Faktor bank from Ljubljana with 9.90% of stocks.

By the way, A Bank is the owner of Subotica-based "Pionir". This bank was founded in 1996 as Alko Banka, which mainly worked with the economy sector.
