Four companies short-listed for construction of power plant in Kosmet

- Four companies from abroad have been short-listed for the signing of the contract on construction of new power production capacities in Kosovo and Metohia - the Ministry of Energy and Mining in the temporary provincial government in Priština announced.
The aforementioned companies are: American-Czech consortium CEZ/AES, German company "RWE Power AG", partner company "EnBW" (Germany) and "WGI" (USA) and the consortium of Italian "Enel" and Greek-American "Senkap".
Construction of a new power plant, rehabilitation of one of the existing ones and the opening of the new coal mine are in the pipeline. It was earlier explained that the end of the construction of the power plant, with the capacity of 1800-2100 MW, was planned for year 2012 and that the anticipated expenses amounted to about 3 billion EUR.Tags:
