Invitation for design of justification study for construction of new port in Belgrade

The Directorate for Building Land and Construction of Belgrade has announced the invitation for making of the justification study for construction of a new port in Belgrade, on the left bank of the Danube, downstream from the Pančevo bridge.

Current port "Beograd" has limited capabilities of spatial expansion because of the vicinity of the city center. Also, the problem is its connection with the main roads. The location and the capacity of the new port should, as it was said, enable modern methods of reloading cargo and containers, due to which the construction of multimodal transportation terminal is needed.

The Directorate for Building Land and Construction reminded that, according to the General land-utilization plan, the construction of the port and industrial and free zone was planned on the surface of about 600 ha, downstream from the Pančevo bridge.
