The Supervisory Board of the pubic company Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) has decided to establish a company in Slovenia under the name of EPS Trading, announced EPS.

EPS said in a press release that the company will be established when they have the consent of the Serbian Government.

Operating EPS Trading in Slovenia, an EU member state, will strengthen the position of EPS on the regional power market. Power trading will be more efficient by maximising profit and reducing power supply costs in Serbia.

EPS Trading will be managed from the EPS head office in Serbia. Modern methods of power trading mean that there is no need to have employees in Slovenia.

By establishing the company in Slovenia, EPS will be able to trade in power within the European Union, which will also facilitate trading in the region. EPS will begin with direct trading on the Hungarian power exchange.
