Grupa Gorenje reports EUR 25.3 million loss in 2013 as result of investment write-off

Gorenje's Supervisory Board discussed Friday (31 January 2014) the business results achieved by the company in 2013 when Gorenje generated a revenue of EUR 1.07 billion from its core business. Grupa Gorenje's overall revenues in 2013 are estimated at EUR 1.24 billion. This business result was affected by one-off write-off of financial investments (Merkur, Probanka, Cimos) totaling EUR 24.6 million, which is why Grupa Gorenje reported a profit from operations of EUR 34.2 million and a net loss of EUR 25.3 million.

The plan for this year is to boost revenues by 3.6% to EUR 1.28 bilion and to turn a profit from operations of over EUR 46 million and a net profit of EUR 12.1 million.
