Germany's Angus Group wants to invest in Serbian agriculture

One of the largest cattle breeders in Europe, Germany's Angus Group, has announced the possibility of investing in Serbia's agriculture and expressed a wish to work with prospective partners in the livestock industry, which is why its representatives are coming on a four-day visit to our country, Tanjug news agency reports.

The first of many meetings will be held January 29th in the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce (BCC), the BCC said in a release.

During his stay in Serbia, a business delegation of Germany that includes the representatives of the livestock agency Stelon and Angus Group officials will meet with the representatives of local chambers of commerce, agribusiness companies, cooperatives, farms, local self-governments and agricultural manufacturers.

Stelon and the Angus Group will offer Serbian agricultural farms, cooperatives and business organizations engaged in cattle breeding a partnership in livestock production and favorable loans from the German Development Bank KfW.

German partner have also announced they will provide additional funds for the start of production to include food manufacturers, veterinary institutions and slaughterhouses in the project.
