Scientists in Brazil have discovered a new species of freshwater dolphin, the first river dolphin since the end of the World War I in 1918.
It is the fifth river dolphin species ever discovered.

The scientists say these dolphins diverged from other North American dolphins more than 2 million years ago.

It is believed that there are only 1,000 freshwater dolphins living in the Araguaia River in Brazil.

River dolphins are among the rarest beings on the planet.
