Serbia's public debt in 2013 at 61.2 percent of GDP

Serbia's public debt at the end of 2013 totaled EUR 20.09 billion, which is 61.2 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), the Public Debt Administration announced in a release.

At the end of 2012 Serbia's public debt amounted to EUR 17.67 billion, meaning that it grew by about EUR 2.42 billion in 2013 and by about EUR 590 million in December alone.

Serbia's direct liabilities at the end of December 2013 totaled about EUR 17.28 billion with the internal debt amounting to about EUR 7.03 billion and the foreign debt being at EUR 10.25 billion.

Total indirect liabilities at the end of the last year were at EUR 2.81 billion, it was announced on the website of the Public Debt Administration.
