On Friday, Serbian Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic called Belgrade's parliamentary elections for March 16th, 2014.

Stefanovic told the press that preparations for elections would commence January 29th.

Elections will be held in 17 boroughs of Belgrade. In previous elections that took place 6 May 2012, a total of 1,576,795 people had the right to vote.

The mayor of Belgrade will be elected from 110 aldermen of the city.
