After more than 50,000 Internet users signed a petition against the shutdown of Winamp service, a solution has emerged.
Winamp's potential rescuer is Radionomy that allows its users to listen to music and radio program and create online radio stations. It is believed that they may purchase Winamp from AOL and then revitalize it.
Another company that used to be mentioned as a prospective buyer of Winamp is Microsoft, but that idea has never taken root.
