First private chamber of commerce in Serbia to open in January

The first private chamber of commerce in Serbia should be registered by the end of this month. In order for this chamber to be established, there must be at least 100 application forms submitted by its prospective members, and the SME Association has already collected about 120 such forms. This private chamber will bring together private companies only, and people at the SME Association claim that they have decided to take this step because the existing chamber system failed to give expected results.

Application forms for the new chamber of commerce are now being signed by companies from all around Serbia. We are yet to see whether it will fully meet their requirements.
