Kostic to buy AIK Banka

Miodrag Kostic is buying AIK Banka. As people at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) confirmed to the daily Novosti, Kostic's Sunoko, part of MK Group, has received a permit to increase its stake in this financial institution.

- Since the start of 2013 until today, two companies have approached us with a request to take over a majority stake in AIK Banka - people at NBS told Novosti.

One of them, Sunoko from Novi Sad, has got a permit from NBS to acquire a bigger ownership stake in Nis-based AIK Banka.

Sunoko already holds the largest stake in AIK Banka - 21.69 percent. Together with other members of Kostic's group, Sunoko owns nearly 25 percent of that bank, which is why it is bound by law to issue a takeover bid.
