Soon free EPS shares

Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) is definitely becoming a share holders company in the first quarter of 2014, which will provide free shares for the citizens, says Minister of Energy.
Zorana Mihajlovic stated for BETA Agency that with the transmission of EPS into a share holders company in state's property, it will be possible to set the value of shares and the amount of free shares given to citizens, present and former employees at the company.
'EPS' is a company that can accomplish a great value of shares, it represents an entity with balanced relation of hydro and thermal capacities for production and well regional placement' the Minister estimated.
She also said that comparing to other public enterprises EPS has come further in reformation, but at the same time according to her opinion it should act more efficiently.
The first step in organizational reform was the formation of the company 'EPS Supply' and a lot has been done on financial reformation thus we cannot point to EPS as the company in 'unbelievable debt'.
- It is highly likely that EPS will end 2013 with a positive result and not only in accounting, but due to financial reforms, pointed out Mihajlovic.
She stated that the only thing missing was investment in production, among all in the distributive network, as right now we have almost different power levels in the country due to the lack of distributive network.
-We need investments, but EPS is one of the systems that can bring benefit to Serbia in the future, and its share holders, said Mihajlovic.
