Valjevo invests into new sports facilities - Covering of the pool in Petnica and building of a mini facility in Pecina

Setting up of the balloon on the swimming pool in Petnica borough is highly likely to happen soon, according to local portal " Vamedia " . The budget for Valjevo in 2014 allocated just over 17 million for the project.

For many years, all of Valjevo children engaged in water sports, needed to practice outside of the city in winter time. As they say in the Directorate of Planning, if all goes according to the plan , next winter, they will be able to train in Petnica.

- Public call for the pool balloon will be released soon , and we expect that in mid- year, the long-standing problem will finally be solved - says for the portal " Vamedia ", Valjevo Director of the Directorate of Urban Planning, Dragan Jeremic.

Valjevo sports facilities are in poor condition and the reason for that is their age and prolonged investment .

The newest facility is " Student" , and construction of another mini facility is expected in the following year in Pecina. It will be designed for football and handball.

- There is really no reason to raise that tension over whether we need another sports facility or not. We need it , because we need to look at how many facilities we do have. Our big facility will end in the future, but without the funds from the Republic there is really not much we can do. They announced support in this year, but it did not happen. Our expectations are it will be completed in 2020 - said Jeremic.

The new mini facility will be built in the area of the former sports balloon in Pecina.
