Trial production at Bioprotein factory in Obrenovac starts March 2014

The start of trial production at Biooprotein's animal food plant in Obrenovac is expected in March 2014, the Obrenovac municipality said in a release on Wednesday.

- Construction works should be finished by the year's end. We expect all the equipment to be installed within the next two months and trial production to commence in March - Bioprotein CEO Borisav Djokic said while touring the plant.

- The plan for 2014 is to open another two production facilities where a special technology will be used to increase the level of protein in Bioprotein products. Also, the plan for the next few years is to activate a system for extracting oil from oil crops - said Djokic.

As he added, Bioprotein also plans to expand product portfolio and have its laboratory for analysis services accredited.
