Car parts from Indjija for European vehicles - IGB Automotive Comp to expand its plant, investment valued at about EUR 5 million

After operating successfully for six years, IGB Automotive Comp in Indjija will this year again achieve the projected growth and high productivity. The company has set a number of goals for the next year, one of which is the employment of additional 100 workers, IGB Automotive Comp General Manager Nebojsa Dragicevic said at yesterday`s press conference that the company organized to celebrate the end of another successful business year.

- All previous investments total about EUR 7 million. With the new project and the expansion of production capacity, the total amount of investments will exceed EUR 11 million. We are about to finish the expansion of product portfolio, and we expect to open a new plant in the spring 2014 – Dragicevic pointed out.

The total value of the new investment and the expansion of production capacity is EUR 5,119,000, 3 million euros of which will be invested in new equipment and EUR 419,000 will be used as working capital. A total of EUR 1.7 million will be invested in the construction of a 2,900 sqm annex to the facility.

IGB Automotive Comp in Indjija is a subsidiary of Germany's I.G.Bauerhin GmbH. Established in 2007, this company produces car seat and steering wheel heaters and car seat occupancy sensors, and it has also recently started making components that are used in the production of car seat heaters.

With 1,050 workers, IGB Automotive Comp is one of the biggest employers in Serbia. In that way, as the general manager explains, IGB Automotive Comp provides a strong support for further development of the local community.
