ANTIC: I am not against toll increase

Transportation Minister Aleksandar Antic has said that the Putevi Srbije company does not have enough money for road maintenance, which is why he doesn't have a negative opinion on the toll increase.
- I don't have a negative opinion regarding the change of road pricing. I am not for a radical increase, but I believe that the toll in Serbia should gradually be brought closer to those in surrounding countries - Antic told the daily Vecernje Novosti.

He noted that Serbia had a "dramatic problem" with road maintenance, explaining that EUR 100 million from the EUR 200 million budget of Putevi Srbije were eamarked for that purpose every year. He also underlined that few years ago, the budget of that company had been twice as big, amounting to about EUR 400 million.
