"Citigroup" opened office in Belgrade - in addition to banking sector, company interested in telecommunication sector in Serbia

One of the most respectable world companies in field of financial services, "Citigroup", which includes "Citibank", is interested in the telecommunications sector in Serbia. This was announced by William Mills, the president of that company for the corporate and investment banking for Europe, Near East and Africa.

Asked whether that company, or "Citibank", participated in the approval of credit to "Telekom Srbija" for the purchase of "Telekom Srpske", Mills answered that "he is not in the position to answer that question and that it would be incorrect to decide when it will be announced".

At the formal opening of "Citigroup's" office in Belgrade, Mills pointed out that, at the moment, Serbia had the leading role in the region as far as the investments were concerend, which is why this large company, with the headquarters in USA, decided to open the new agency in some country after a four-year pause.

According to him, "Citigroup" will offer services in field of corporate and investment banking, but in time, with the analysis of the achieved results on the Serbian market, it will decide whether it will work with the citizens.
