Using mobile phone app to measure blood pressure

Users of telecommunication and technology services increasingly rely on their mobile phones in everyday life. A research conducted by Ericsson ConsumerLab highlights a growing interest in mobile apps that allow users to quantify their personal health, often through sensors detecting blood pressure, heart rate or steps per day, for example.
Ericsson ConsumerLab has carried out a research that helped it identify 10 technology trends for 2014. Based on the results of this research, we are entering a new phase in which consumers request apps that can help them execute daily tasks, go shopping or communicate with government institutions.
