Gorenje raises EUR 27 million in additional capital

Slovenian manufacturer of household appliances Gorenje has so far managed to raise EUR 27 million in additional capital in the recapitalization process, Gorenje announced in a release.

According to the web portal Seebiz.eu, Japan's Panasonic provided EUR 10 million in the first round of recapitalization.

In the second round, Gorenje raised EUR 16.77 million, 6.17 million of which in Slovenia and 10.6 million on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The aim of the company is to raise a total of EUR 45 million in additional capital in three rounds of recapitalization.

Gorenje also expects losses of nearly EUR 9 million due to the write-off of certain investments and poor sales of household appliances in the European market.
