Swiss airline Swiss International Airlines is going to launch a service between Geneva and Belgrade on Thursday.

For a start, Swiss International Airlines will be operating two weekly flights between Geneva and Belgrade - on Tuesday and Thursday.

Departures from Nikola Tesla Airport will be at 12.55 PM on Tuesday and 2.55 PM on Thursday, while the aircraft from the Geneva airport Koentren will be arriving in Belgrade some 40 minutes earlier.

As of 12 April 2014, the Swiss carrier will operate three flights a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Over the last few years, air traffic between Serbia and Switzerland has been on a constant rise with over 125,000 passengers transported between Belgrade and Zurich in the first six months of this year.

Belgrade-Zurich flights are currently operated by Swiss and Air Serbia, while low-cost carrier Wizz Air currently operates flights between Belgrade and Bazel.
