At the Department of Traffic Safety, in an amphitheater of the Faculty of Transportation in Belgrade, Predrag Vucinic, a graduate engineer of transportation who works at the ABB company, made a presentation to students on "Electric Vehicles and Infrastructure for Charging Electric Vehicles (EVs)" on December 9th.
Students were able to hear about projects developed and implemented by ABB, including the one in Estonia that became the first country in the world to implement an electric vehicle fast charging system across the entire country with the aim of reducing the emission of harmful gases.
As ABB said in a release, this presentation is a result of cooperation between professors and assistants from aforementioned department on one side and Predrag Vucinic from ABB on the other. It is based on constant exchange of expert information, especially about latest product technologies in the field of transportation and environmental protection that ABB develops. Each attendee got an info brochure, and it was agreed to continue this cooperation through presentations at expert events and conferences, with the aim of educating both professional public and the representatives of local communities.
- Fuel prices at gas stations are on a rise, and people still don't know much about electric vehicles that definitely lack attention. Besides being allies to the environment, electric vehicles are also a good friend of the household budget. Therefore, all future users of electric vehicles should be provided with an infrastructure for charging these cars - said people at the ABB company.
