After four months of preparations and an investment of EUR 580 million, Pancevo Oil Refinery produced the first batch of euro-diesel containing a certain percentage of a biocomponent - soybean oil imported from Romania. The first 500 tonnes of this fuel have already been delivered to Bulgaria, but it is still unavailable in our market due to lack of necessary regulations.
- The state should lower or stop collecting excise taxes on the sale of fuels containing biocomponents in order to encourage manufacturers to produce them - said Maja Ciric, the director of the Handling Sector at the oil refinery.
- This has already been done in EU countries, but not in our country. That's why we now only export biodiesel instead of also selling it at our gas stations.
