Unified tax collection postponed until 1 March 2014

Unified tax collection from taxpayers in Serbia that are not yet ready for this form of tax collection, and these are mainly large systems, will begin March 1st instead of January 1st as initially planned.

Unified tax collection from taxpayers that are ready for this process will commence January 1st, whereas all others will be allowed a trial period until March 1st, people at the Tax Administration told the press today.

As they explained, the start of unified tax collection is postponed at the request of certain large systems such as EPS, the Ministry of Police, health care sector, the Republic Statistical Office, insurance companies, etc.

Postponement of the start of unified tax collection will be regulated by an amendment to the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration.
