Ten international companies applied for construction of steam power plant "Kosovo C"

Ten international companies will compete on the tender for construction of steam power plant "Kosovo C".
The new, third in a row, steam power plant is the biggest project in Kosovo and it will cost 1 billion EUR. It is expected that it will be finished by the end of year 2008.
The Head of UNMIK, Joahim Riker, stated that the realization of that project would represent the big success to Kosovo, whereas the President of Kosovo, Fatmir Sejdiu, estimated that that project represented guarantee for other foreign investments.
Minister of Energy, Ethem Čeku, said that the steam power plant would solve the problem of electric power and that it would contribute to the growth of economy.
