German company 8. mart, which has been operating in Novi Knezevac for several years now, is planning to boost its production capacity, eKapija was told by the officials of that municipality in North Banat.

- A stocking factory in our municipality has been successfully in operation for as many as two years now. The German company has already hired 150 people, and we expect the capacity boost to result in the creation of additional 50 to 60 jobs – said the officials of the Novi Knezevac municipality.

They expect 8. mart to open a new production facility by the spring 2014. This German stocking manufacturer exports more than 90 percent of its production in Serbia to the European Union.

Aside from the facility in Novi Knezevac, 8. mart also has a factory in Subotica. As it was announced earlier, the company plans to employ additional 140 workers at the Subotica-based factory, which should secure it a grant of EUR 5,000 per newly employed person from the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
