Merkur faces bankruptcy without support from banks

If creditor banks refuse to support Merkur's amendments to the financial reorganization plan that call for turning that trader's healthy core into a new enterprise, the company will end up in bankruptcy, the Slovenian daily Finance reports.

Merkur intends to propose a new plan to the court by the year's end.
