Uzice sells land to Lidl for EUR 1.519 million

At the 3rd extraordinary session of the City Assembly, Uzice's aldermen adopted a decision to sell 2.2 hectares of land on the grounds of former barracks in Krcagovo for EUR 1.519 million, which should be bought by Lidl market chain.

In a statement to Tanjug news agency, Uzice Mayor Sasa Milosevic (SNS) pointed to the necessity of selling this land lot in Krcagovo despite the opposition's remarks.

If Lidl agrees to pay a certain price, part of that money will be used to build apartments for the Army.

Milosevic voiced his hope that Lidl would buy the land, adding that even if that failed to heppen, city authorities would not give up the sale of 2.2 hectares of land on the grounds of former barracks in Krcagovo.
