City planners are preparing necessary conditions for construction of big gas-powered power plant in Novi Sad

City planners in Novi Sad have prepared the documentation for change in general land-utilization plan, in order to create conditions for construction of the new gas-powered power plant, in the vicinity of the existing steam power plant - heating plant, which is the project worth about 600m EUR.

- It can be expected that the construction will commence already in 2007. This is very big project. The authorized ministry of Russian Federation joined its implementation through its company, which clearly shows that it is very important job - said the manager of the Institute for City Construction, Igor Mirović.

Therefore, Swiss company "Mentor energy", as the investor, and Russian "Tehnopromeksport", as the contractor, do not give up this big project and neither does the local self-government of city of Novi Sad.
