The Danube Foods Group has restarted negotiations on the sale of Belgrade-based dairy Imlek with prospective buyers, said Svetlana Glumac, the director of corporate and regulatory affairs at that group.
In an interview for the new issue of the monthly magazine Biznis i Finansije (Business and Finance), she did not specify the names of potential buyers, but she stressed that the sale was a strategic goal that was impossible to achieve soon.
Glumac noted that previous negotiations on the sale of Imlek had been discontinued in May 2012 out of fear of the instability of the Dinar exchange rate as a result of the political situation in the aftermath of elections.
- The situation is now a bit more stable, so we are reopening negotiations with prospective buyers - she said.
Glumac announced that the Danube Foods Group, the owner of food companies Imlek and Bambi and the water factory Knjaz Milos, would continue to invest in the expansion of all its companies in the region.
