The Economy Ministry has approved a social plan for redundant workers at Krusevac-based Fabrika Ulja (Edible Oil Factory), President of the Nezavisnost trade union Sasa Markovic told Tanjug news agency.
According to him, the social plan was approved late last week. Of the total of 131 workers, 119 will leave the factory.

- Late salaries will be paid in 2014, after the property appraisal is completed, in line with what Economy Minister Sasa Radulovic said in Krusevac - Markovic added.

The workers of Fabrika Ulja are owed 23 salaries.

Krusevac Mayor Bratislav Gasic recently told Tanjug that they were negotiating with Juzni Banat and Vital to start a part of production at Fabrika Ulja, for which about EUR 7.5 million were needed.

Fabrika Ulja was sold to Bozin Milicevic in 2004 for 30,000 euros. The factory had been operating under the name of Plima M by December 2011, when the sales agreement was terminated.
