EUR 15 million for water factory and sewerage system in Backi Petrovac


Backi Petrovac officials have plans to ensure a stable supply of water to about 14,500 people living in the territory of that municipality and the local community Celarevo.
- The plan is to complete the sewerage system that is now 60 percent finished. Construction of new water supply system with a water factory on the Glozane site is also in the pipeline. This microregional system should supply water to our municipality and the local community Celarevo. We expect the work on preliminary designs to start soon. This investment is valued at 14 to 15 million euros - said Ondrej Benka, the mayor's assistant in charge of the economy, SME development and municipal activities.
People at Backi Petrovac expect the funding for this project to be provided by the municipality, the Vojvodina Capital Investment Fund, our state and Slovakia, Czech Republic and Slovenia.
