USAID invested 135,000 USD in advancement of agriculture on territory of Sandžak

American Agency for International Development (USAID) invested 135,000 USD through "Mercy corps" into advancement of agricultural production of the territory of municipalities of Raška, Novi Pazar and Tutin over the last six months.

According to the words of economic advisor in the office of "Mercy corps" in Novi Pazar, Nermin Hasanović, seven agricultural organizations and collectives on this territory have obtained agricultural machines that enables production of food according to international standards.

Hasanović gives example of the farmers from Novi Pazar's village of Kominje who obtained 42 milking machines and six motor cultivators.

He points out that the activity of this international organization is mainly directed to the improvement of working conditions of the direct agricultural manufacturers, whereas, earlier, "Mercy corps" used to invest more money in the mini dairies and slaughterhouses, as well as in education of farmers.
