Production at Knjazevac-based Dzervin has been restarted few months after its privatization. Part of the cold storage plant and the concentrate production line are back in operation. The new management says that it is necessary to invest tens of millions of euros in the renovation of this neglected and technologically obsolete factory, adding that this process will be carried out step by step.
The first investment will be made in the cold storage plant, Dzervin CEO Sladjan Nedeljkovic announced and added:
- The plan is to complete the investment cycle in up to three years, after which we will have a quality and modern storage facility for purchased fruits and fruit products from our production facilities.
Dzervin currently has about hundred permanent employees, but it also had about 200 seasonal workers this summer and autumn.
