2005, Shipyard "Begej" after privatization built 5 ships worth €2.5m

Production results of Zrenjanin-based shipyard ``Begej``, after it came out from the bankruptcy and privatization processes, are better than the sum of the results of all other shipyards in Vojvodina. That company was bought in 2001 by Dutch shipbuilding company ``K Damen``, of which owner is Komer Damen. In period from 2001 to 2003, five ships worth €2.5m have been built, whereas in 2004 the buyers from Netherlands bought 6 new ships worth €7m. In 2005 and 2006 the building of 13 floating lighters and income of €13-14m is planned.
