On Friday, the Koridori Srbije company issued a Request for Proposal for the completion of Pirot-Dimitrovgrad highway, the stretch on which Austria's Alpine was working when it went bankrupt.

The deadline to submit bids is 9 January 2014, Koridori Srbije said in a release submitted to Tanjug news agency.

Bids are invited for the Pirot (Istok) - Dimitrovgrad stretch that is to be completed in 450 days of the work commencement date.

This RFP is in line with the updated General Procurement Notices that the EBRD published on its website www.ebrd.com on 23 September 2013, the release reads.

Eligible bidders are all those whose average annual revenue in the last three years was minimum EUR 40 million.

All proposals must contain a EUR 600,000 bid bond.
