Pirot's kachkaval - new main product in production program of Dairy Pirot

Slovenian company "Solventa", the new owner of "Pirotska mlekara" (The Pirot Dairy), announced commencement of production in Spring 2007 and investment into new equipment and technology in amount of 700,000 EUR.

The Pirot Dairy was bought by "Solventa" through takeover of the contract on privatization from consortium "Unimilk", the contract with which, due to unfulfilled obligations from the contract, was broken by the Privatization Agency.

The new owners of the dairy should come to Pirot at the end of November or at the beginning of the next month. The first products of the dairy that used to be one of the best in the country should appear on the domestic, as well as on foreign market, already in Spring 2007.

The new owner has already prepared four production programs whose main product will be high-quality Pirot's kachkaval that will be produced for the market of European Union.
