Operators from Kosovo do not want "Telenor" to be their rival

The auction for the selection of the operator of the second mobile telephony network in Kosovo, which will last until mid-January 2007, induced local bidders to attack Norwegian giant "Telenor", which recently bought Serbian "Mobtel", unscrupulously.

The bids of company "Telenor" cause tumultous reactions because, after years of armed conflicts with Serbia about independence of Kosovo, Albanian population do not want that the company that has anything to do with Serbia gains control in such important sector.

Famous international names in the field of telecommunications are starting negotiations with local partners, which, however, aim at the companies that have recently bought mobile telephonies in the region - "T-Mobile" in Macedonia, "Vodafone" in Albania and "Telenor" in Serbia.
