Pirot-based "Tigar" on the list of World Bank among 22 most successful companies

The experts of International Finance Corporation (IFC), the branch of the World Bank, published the publication in which Pirot-based "Tigar" is among 22 companies that realized successful cooperation with that corporation.

One of the key reasons for the place on the list of IFC is care for environment, for which "Tigar" set aside about 600,000 USD. The company brought its operations in accord with the international ecological standards ISO 14001.

The authors of the publication estimated the restructuring program intended for modernization and realization of strategic relations with French company "Michelin" as successful. "Tigar" and IFC financed joint investment with the company from France, which resulted in founding of company "Tigar-Michelin" (Tigar-MH).

The most important transactions cited in the publication are: 18m USD for founding of "Tigar-MH" in 2001, 4m USD for increase in production capacities, 150,000 USD for development of "Tigar trgovina", 75,000 USD for "Tigar obuća" and 70,000 USD for improvement of finances and accounting in the company.
