Serbian Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic and French Ambassador to Serbia Francois Xavier Denio today signed an administrative agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development, it was announced at the website of the Serbian government.

Mihajlovic explained at a press conference that that document would help our country better prepare to start negotiations with the European Union in the field of ecology.

She pointed out that the agreement would allow for Serbia to share experiences with France in environmental protection and the improvement of sustainable development.

Based on that document, as she said, Serbia and France will form task forces that will be made up of experts from these two countries and tasked them to define key issues and projects that could help improve environmental protection.

Mihajlovic announced that those projects would mainly focus on climate changes, waste, land protection, air monitoring and other fields.
