Slovenian "Petrol" more and more interested in privatization of NIS

- Company "Petrol" still investigates possibility to privatize Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) in cooperation with soe partner. The final decision will be made after the announcement of the tender - said the Head of the Management of Slovenian company Marko Križanovski.

He said that the management of "Petrol" and Russian company "Lukoil" spoke about forming of the joint venture, which should be founded in Spring 2007 and of which basic activity should take place on the territory of Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania and other countries from the region of Southeast Europe.

Križanovski said that, in addition to oil, gas and ecological activities, electric energy is of great importance in the strategic directions of company "Petrol".

- We want to be present in Slovenia in field of production and distribution of electric energy and we seek opportunities for production of electric energy outside the country - said him, pointing to BiH as the place where "Petrol" would like to get concession for construction of steam and hydroelectric power plants.
