Money from Belgrade accounts for 40 percent of budget revenue - Belgrade Region has largest share in total GDP

According to preliminary results of the calculation of regional gross domestic product (GDP) for 2012, the Belgrade Region's RSD 1.341 billion account for 39.6 percent of the total value of national GDP, the Republic Statistical Office said in a release on Monday.

The Vojvodina Region ranks second with RSD 927 billion and a share of 27.4 percent in GDP, followed by Sumadija and Western Serbia with RSD 642 billion and a 19 percent share and Southern and Eastern Serbia with RSD 474 billion and a 14-percent share.

Regional GDP per capita in the Belgrade Region amounts to RSD 806,000, which is 71.4 percent above the republic average from 2012.
