Serbia could become the biggest energy building site in Europe in 2007

The memorandum of understanding for construction of gas system through Serbia will be signed by the Government of Serbia, company "Srbijagas" and Russian company "Gazprom export" by the end of December 2006 in Moscow.
The details of that act should be developed by mid-2007, which should be followed by the commencement of realization of that project.
At the end of 2006 and at the beginning of 2007, it is expected that the Memorandum of understanding should be signed for construction of Pan-European oil pipeline from Konstanza to Trieste through Serbia, which is expected to become the big energy building site in the region and Europe.
Forming of the regional market of electric energy that implies Contract on forming energy community of countries of Southeast Europe imposes obligation of more solid networking, as well as construction of new long-distance power lines and substations.
The gas pipeline from Bulgarian border to Croatia through Serbia will provide safe and stable supply of gas to the country and region. It is also expected that Serbia will grow from the big importer of gas into the transit country that realizes significant incomes from the taxes.
