Postal Savings Bank takes Privredna Banka Beograd clients

As of today, the clients of Privredna Banka Beograd (PBB) are the clients of the Postal Savings Bank (PSB) and each of them can go to PSB's website to check if his or her account is already transferred, PSB Retail Operations Manager Zoran Rosic said today.

- All funds are transferred normally, and clients only need to come to a PSB office and sign a new contract - Rosic said in his guest appearance on RTS' Morning Show.

He explained that the takeover scenario would be approximately the same as in the case of another two failed state-owned banks - Agrobanka and RBV (Razvojna Banka Vojvodina - the Development Bank of Vojvodina), adding that the Postal Savings Bank was already experienced in that regard.

Considering that there are differences between deposits and claims, Rosic said that the Postal Savings Bank expected help from the government.

The Serbian government gave the green light for the PBB-PSB merger on Friday.
