JGL takes over BG Pharm - Company from Rijeka plans to invest EUR 2 million in its business in Serbia

Jadran Galenski Laboratorij (JGL) has taken over the BG Pharm company in bankruptcy. As this Rijeka-based company announced, the value of this investment in Serbia, along with all future investments and technological equipping, is estimated at EUR 2 million.

Through this acquisition, JGL has also got BG Pharm's production and storage space in Sopot near Belgrade, part of the equipment as well as about 20 registered licenses.

This year JGL plans to export about EUR 6.7 million worth of products to SEE countries.

With an average and continuous annual organic growth of 25 percent in the previous 22 years of existence, JGL is Croatia's quickest-growing pharmaceutical plant that currently ranks third in the national pharmaceutical industry. The JGL Group's total consolidated revenues grew from HRK 1,500,000 in 1991 to HRK 800,000,000 in 2012 with exports accounting for 75 percent of total sales.
