Air Serbia's first aircraft from Abu Dhabi officially welcomed

Air Serbia's first aicraft - Airbus A319, returned to Belgrade from Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

A delegation of Serbia led by First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and media representatives stayed in Abu Dhabi.

The airplane named Novak Djokovic was welcomed in Belgrade with traditional water jets. The passengers were then offered a homemade bread and salt by a girl dressed in a traditional Serbian costume.

All passengers, who were mainly foreigners, said upon exiting the plane that they were very satisfied with Air Serbia's aircraft, that the flight was pleasant and the cabin crew friendly.

- Today we are writing new pages in the history of Serbia's air transportation. The first flight operated by our new flag carrier Air Serbia represents a new, modern face of our country's potential in this field - Director of Belgrade-based Nikola Tesla Airport Velimir Radosavljevic pointed out.

He wished Air Serbia achieved its business goals and became a regional leader in the field of air transportation as well as a promoter of our country "in the sky and on the ground."
