In order to prevent budget losses in the amount of minimum EUR 300 million, which are caused by the smuggling of oil and tobacco products, Serbia will very soon form a special inspection department that will be tasked with controlling the trade in so-called excise goods.

- At a recent meeting with managers from the oil and tobacco industries, we agreed to have Finance Minister Lazar Krstic make a plan in the nearest future on how to prepare government agencies to control the trade in these products in a different way - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said when announcing the formation of so-called excise inspectorate.
